Research & Development

Zuccato Energia’s R&D department is developing several projects targeting the technological improvement of our ORC systems:

CFD Analysis to constantly increase the efficiency of our radial inflow turbines;
Continuous research to further increase the performance and reliability of our brushless generators.
Research for innovative solutions for the key components of our system such as the custom-built heat exchangers;
Optimizing the control algorythms as well as predictive maintenance logics.

EU projects

Our team also developes multi-source integration systems and solutions to implement ORC technology in those industrial applications where technological limitations have discouraged any intervention until now. In this context, Zuccato Energia is involved in these EU projects:

RE.EL.COOP: Realization of an hybrid solar + biomass power generation plant;
INSHIP (Stakeholder partner): Application of thermal solar power to industrial processes.
